Sylvia Fugmann Brongo Artist Statement: "A ceramic artist since 1983, I have been creating sculptural vessels, wall pieces, jars, and bowls. I use stoneware clay, and mostly slab form, and coil pieces by hand. I fire them in a kiln at 2150°. I also airbrush in a variety of colors. I am currently exploring new directions, creating large tile pieces. Commissions considered. My forms are organic and a result of exploring and enjoying natural wonders. As a nature enthusiast, I find inspiration traveling to national parks, and observing plants, animals, snorkeling and scenic vistas.
