Brad Diddams
Artist's Statement: “I paint still life. Some of my paintings have people in them, but for me that painting still remains still life. All my paintings reflect my love of detail, my joy in revealing the characteristic textures of various materials. The cowboy is subject of many of my works because nowhere else can one find the richness of costume with the variety of materials and detail – the difference between a buttery-soft leather and a crisply tooled one. The cowboy also beckons to an era that is perhaps, in some ways, more desirable and intriguing than modern times.” Brad Diddams
