Artist Statement "I believe I have found a medium in which I can explore many different forms and color patterns. Giving me an outlet for my artistic ideas. No two baskets have been the same in the 10 years I have been coiling pine needle baskets and I see no reason to ever duplicate a basket. I?m presently working on basketry that can be hung on the wall. I have made several Kachina masks with gourds & pine needle basket rim to depict the feathers. There are also some contemporary wall hangings that have been sold.
I have won awards in local fairs and art shows. My basket was also selected in a nationally juried show where it was displayed with 50 other baskets at the National Basket Organizations Convention & Gallery in Lake Tahoe Calif.
What started out as therapy while I was recuperating has turned in to a true passion." --
